Bronze Eyes

Being a blue-green eyed gal I find bronze is the perfect colour to really make my eyes pop. Whether it be a simple sweep of colour or a more intense bronze smokey eye it never fails to brighten up my face and intensify my eye colour. Plus it's nice and natural so all good for your lids daily dose of something something.

If I'm opting for just a bronze wash, Maybelline's Colour Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze is where it's at. I've sung it's praises around these parts way too many times before but man is this stuff good. Lazy gals out there, you need this. No brushes required your finger is the best pick here, simply press on with one and soften edges with another. Innoxa's Shadow and Liner Pen in Brown is also a great one wash wonder. I simply use the foam applicator to pat on colour and once again fingers to blend. A good one for smoking things up a bit, think day to night eyes in one stick. Both of these can be sported alone for a subtle something something or used as a base for something a bit more smokey.

For when I really want to ramp up the bronze factor I love Anastasia's Want You to Want Me palette. Purple shades aside the centre shade 'Power Ballad' is gorgeous. Another one that I've enjoyed sporting as a one wash wonder but it seriously brings it when packed on for a more intense look. Shimmery but not glittery, just enough to catch the light and brighten the eye area. A little matte brown blended in to the crease really adds some depth and the result is a winner.

Brown liners have become a popular choice for me recently and I think they work really well with a bronze smokey eye. Adding definition without being too harsh or in your face, a natural loving girl's best friend. A little smudged in to the top lash line and sometimes even the bottom really smokes things up that much more. My picks are Maybelline's Master Liner 24hr Cream Pencil in Brown and Daniel Sandler's Velvet Waterproof Eyeliner in Brown.

What are your bronze eye must haves?
