Travel Makeup Bag

To finish off my little trio of travel themed beauty posts today I'm opening up my makeup bag to show you just what made the cut for my two week trip to Thailand. The selection criteria for this particular trip was that all products be quick and easy to apply and long-lasting even in the humid heat. I tried to keep things rather minimal but also wanted to have a little variety to keep things interesting and I think I got the balance pretty spot on. If it looks like some products are missing (i.e. concealer) then they most likely featured in my Inflight Beauty post which you can read here.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation: A more ramped up coverage for evenings or if my skin decides not to behave itself.

Revlon Colourstay Foundation: My everyday foundation, can be applied with fingers and does a great job of evening out my complexion.

L'Oreal Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer: A little sample I had kicking around so thought I'd add it in as I'm not taking a full size primer.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Achiote: Peachy pink, long lasting, easy to apply. Perfect.

Bourjois Cream Blush Sweet Cherry: Another long lasting blush thanks to it's cream to powder formula, a lovely shade for tanned skin.

Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder: A pale girl's perfect bronzer, lovely and light, matte and not at all orange.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo Tough as Taupe: My favourite for a one wash wonder, thrown in for evening wear as it's great for smoking things up.

Naked Basics Palette: If I feel like doing a full on eye shadow look this pretty much has everything I need, compact and perfect for travel.

DJV Beautenizer Fibrewig LX Mascara: You've heard me rave about this around these parts way too many times before, my fav.

Daniel Sandler Velvet Waterproof Eye Liner: Nothing like a brown liner to add some subtle definition and make the lashes appear fuller plus this waterproof formula is just the formula I need.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick 103: The only lipstick I've packed as I'm not much of a lip colour gal. A nudey pink that can be blended into the lips for day time or built up for a more intense colour.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush: the multi-use brush in my collection, amazing for buffing in foundation but also great for blending out blush or even powder application.

Daniel Sandler Base Brush: A recent addition to my collection this foundation brush has absolutely taken over when it comes to base application, I feel a rave in the making.

Ecotools Eye Brushes: My two favourite eye brushes, one flat to pack on shadow and a fluffy offering to blend. They're all I need for any eye look.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush: Perfect for blush application, particularly cream offerings.

Ecotools Powder Brush: To dust on my Rimmel setting powder, Tarte blush and Body Shop bronzer.

This may seem like a heap of products but for two weeks, I think I've done quite well!

  4. I love the items you took with you to travel to Thailand with. I'm not very good at minimising the amount of makeup I take and always end up packing wayyy more than I need!
