Thailand Haul

I recently went on a little holiday to Koh Samui, a small island off the coast of Thailand. It was such a beautiful place and I had an amazing time however I still couldn't keep my beauty urges under control, quelle surprise. During the trip home I had a one day stop over in Bangkok so of course I had to do some shopping.

First up was a cute little shop called Beauty Corner where I picked up this Gorgeous Shadow Palette. The packaging of everything in this shop was absolutely adorable. This particular palette is slightly Urban Decay Naked-esque and houses 9 neutral shadows, 3 of which are matte and the remaining 6 rather shimmery. It also features a little blending brush which for once I actually quite like! A full review is in the works.

Next I stopped off at Beauty Buffet, one of Thailand's more popular beauty stores. I was rather restrained and left with only 3 face masks in tow. Asian countries are particularly well known for their sheet mask so it would have been rude not to, right? They were on a buy 3 offer so the three I chose were the Tea Tree Essence Anti-Acne Mask, Carrot Freshly Brightening Mask and Avocado Moisturising and Nourishing.

My final stop off was duty free where I anticipated a rather large splashing of cash however nothing really caught my eye (that I could justify at least) so I left with only a mascara. I've been hunting out a high street option to fill the spot of my much loved DJV Beautenizer so gave Maybelline's Hypercurl Volume Express a go. I'm yet to see this in Australian stores so I'm not sure whether it's new or simply unique to Thailand or Asia. So far so good, expect to hear more soon.

  10. My sister got that same palette when we were in Thailand about two weeks ago. Love it! I got a highlighter/bronzer myself and so wish I spent more time (and money) in that store! :)
