In-flight Beauty

In true beauty blogger stylée I like to make any flight into quite the pamper time. Hours and hours of recycled, air conditioned air can wreak absolute havoc on our skin causing even my oily skin type to crave moisture. I always find it fun to gather up my samples before a flight to put together a little inflight routine to help prevent a post-flight skin freakout. Everything seen here comes in under the required 100ml size and fits into a regulation size clear plastic pouch. As well as skincare I also like to pack some makeup into my carry on. Firstly to apply post flight but also in the dreaded event that my suitcase goes missing I've got enough to see me through until we are reunited- dramatic I know.

Wotnot Facial Wipes: For removing all traces of makeup once I'm onboard. I know face wipes are usually a skincare no-no but I'm sticking to Caroline Hiron's '3 F's' rule, flights, festivals and fanny's.

Nuxe Anti-Fatigue Moisturising Eye Cream Sample: To keep my peepers hydrated all flight long, plus samples are just an inflight must.

Phyto 7 Hydrating Day Cream with 7 Plants: To keep my locks nourished, plus it will come in handy as a post-wash treatment whilst I'm away.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir: A calming, natural hydrating mist, perfect to spritz on throughout the flight.

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream Sample: Hands need nourishing too! I'll be massaging this in regularly to avoid lizard-like fingers.

Nuxe Reve De Miel: For me lips are the the first things to show the signs of dry cabin air so it's time to call in the big guns. You can bet I'll be reapplying this the most out of any product.

Aesop Oil Free Hydrating Serum Sample: A hydrating serum to pop on at the end of the flight to soothe and moisturise.

Pai Bioregenerate Rosehip Oil: For nourishment and protection against cabin air.

Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter: Just incase I feel like giving my limbs some nourishment, I can just see the boy rolling his eyes already.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Concealer and Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer: After the 3am alarm I'm going to need something to make me like semi-decent post flight. EL on spots and Rimmel to brighten the under eye area.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder Transparent: To dust on post flight in a bid to keep shine away, but in Thailand's humidity the chances of that are looking slim.

Benefit They're Real Mascara Sample: Once again for my post flight face and you know how I feel about samples and flights.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo Bad to the Bronze: A one wash wonder to add a little something something to the lids.

Daniel Sandler Watercolour Creme Blush Soft Peach: For a face brightening, dewy pop of colour, plus it can be applied sans brush bonus.

L'Oreal Shine Caresse Lolita: Another one for post flight application.

Real Techniques Contour Brush: To dust on powder and blend concealer.

Hair Tie: Because hair done up in a pineapple like fashion is the only way to travel, am I right?

La Roche Posay 50+ SPF: I plan on wearing a face SPF the entire time I'm on holiday and that starts the minute I step off the plane.

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Rollerball: The only perfume coming on my travels, one of my faves plus it's in a handy rollerball.

Colgate Plax Freshmint Mouthwash: For a freshen up at any point during the flight

Colgate Toothpaste and Brush: For the same reason as mouthwash, plus is something dreadful happens and I loose my luggage (fingers crossed I don't) I would not want to be without these.

What are your inflight beauty essentials?

  1. Thats a lot of inflight goodies! I usually don't do anything but take my makeup off and apply moisturiser. Im usually so exhausted after a long flight I don't bother putting makeup on until I've gotten to the hotel and showered!

  2. I love reading about people's in-flight skin care routines, especially when the flights are really really long!
When I went to Beijin (13 hour flight) last year, my skin completely flipped because I had no idea how much care I should have taken. And I had some makeup on as well so that definitely didn't help. :/ Never making that mistake again!
    Thanks for the lovely review!

  3. I don't usually wear make up when flying, I spend most of the time trying to sleep anyway. But some great in flight products here x

  5. Great post, very helpful. When I travel I like to have perfume samples, as they take
up at lot less room than bottles. Hope your having a nice time in Thailand :-) xx
