Five Minute Face

We've all been there before, hit the snooze button one too many times or something has happened to throw you right off track and you're left with five minutes to slap on some makeup and get out the door. It's handy at times like these to have a few products that you know you can get on quickly and will last you well through out day. With a few too many early morning's for work recently I've got the 'five minute face' down pact.

First up Revlon's Colourstay Foundation because it's easy to apply and blend and helps even out my complexion. For any particularly pesky patches I reach for Estée Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Concealer. I set it all with my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in the shade Dim Light to help things stick around all day and perk up my skin. For cheeks I opt for the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Achiote as it's super easy to swipe on to the cheeks and adds such a lovely peachy tint.

For eyes a one wash wonder is perfect. I usually reach for a Maybelline Colour Tattoo, the one pictured here is Tough as Taupe. I love this shade washed over the whole lid and a little smudge in to the lower lash line. The best part? Application can be completely brush free, perfect. I finish eyes with a coat of my favourite mascara, DJV Beautenizer Fibrewig LX and lips just require a swipe of L'Oreal's Shine Caresse in the shade Lolita. Face done and you're even left with time to quickly run a brush through your locks before you rush for the door.

  1. i love tarte blushes but haven't heard much about the shade Achiote - it looks so pretty and perfect for spring! i definitely know what you mean by the snooze button morning scenario... happens to me all the time! i usually skip base makeup and just throw on some concealer, mascara and chapstick... perhaps some eyeliner and blush too if i have an extra few minutes hehe :)
