The January Edit

A new year brings around time for change. A time to start new things and set new goals and for Anna Blush that means ramping up the blogging anti and introducing new features.  Today I come at you with my very first January Edit post, a monthly forecast for all things beauty. January is the month of sales shopping and post-festivity detoxing and here's my round up of what to expect in the world of beauty this month.

This Month We'll See..

Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette. Arguably the biggest beauty launch of 2013, I can't see the buzz surrounding this one disappearing anytime soon. The third palette in UD's cult 'Naked' lineup featuring 12 rose-hued neutral shadows. I'm predicting that this piece of eye candy will appear in many a YouTube video and 'FOTD' this month, no complaints here.

We'll Experiment With.. White eyeshadow. Yes, you read that right. Not cream, not ivory nor beige, simply plain ol' white. As seen in the pages of Allure and on the models for Tibi Spring/Summer 2013/14, white is having a moment on the lids and there's no reason you can't rock it too. Helping to make skin appear luminous, lipstick appear bolder and mascara darker, who wouldn't want to get involved? Creamy eye liner and a blending brush in hand, it's time to channel the white lid look.

Naturally luminous skinThose lucky ones amongst us will rock that natural glow and the rest will attempt to achieve it. A lightweight glowing base, perhaps just a dab of concealer if you can get away with it, rosey cheeks and fluttery lashes are a go go. Spotted all over the catwalk with models from Dolce and Gabbana at MFW, Osman at LFW and Michael Kors at NYFW all embracing a natural glow. Time to pull out those rosey blushers and eye lash curlers, this is one we can all do.

Releases to Watch Out For.. L'Oreal Extraordinaire By Colour Riche. Another liquid lipstick filtering down to the high street. From the mother company of YSL, famous for their Glossy Stains which makes me wonder, could we have a dupe on our hands? L'Oreal did well with their Shine Caresse range so I'm excited to see what they've got this time round. Rumoured to be highly pigmented and long wearing, I think these are set to make quite a scene in the high street lip lacquer world.

Revlon ColourBurst Matte Balm. Another drugstore lip release on the radar. Their Just Kissable Balm Stain's were a hit and I'm expecting the same from their matte counterparts. I've got my eye on the shade Elusive (find swatches here).

Bobbi Brown's Nude Glow Collection Eye Shadow Palettes. BB are known for their beautiful products and this collection is no exception. The three eye shadow quads are the stand out for me, particularly the Nude Eye Palette (middle in above image). Having never tried anything from BB before, that could all change very, very soon.

I'll be Lusting After.. Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation. Along with all of the new releases above, I shall continue to lust after this foundation. Supposedly amazing for coverage with the perfect glow, this has been right up the top of my wish list for months now. Who knows, perhaps January will be the month I finally give in and splurge? 1. Those palettes look amazing. How was your New Year's? If you're like many of us and have resolved to spend a bit less this year, we'd love to help you reach that goal. Ever noticed how incredibly expensive shaving razors are? We think so too. We're a shaving company called Dorco and we want to put an end to overpriced razors. Ours cost up to 70% less than the leading brands. But saving that much doesn't mean you have to sacrifice quality. Read what others think about our products and see our prices for yourself at DorcoUSA.com. Thanks so much for sharing these lovely palettes with us, and for letting us share our razors with you and your readers!
