Soap and Glory Do Scrubs

The boy did particularly well with his gift giving this Christmas, beauty products were a plenty I've trained him well. Two of Soap and Glory's ever popular body scrubs found their way into my stocking, not as easy to get a hold of nor as cheap as they are in the UK, I was very proud of his efforts. Both slightly different I've spent the past few weeks trialling and I'm ready to give you the S&G scrub low down.

Sugar Crush Body Scrub: My scrub of choice in the morning, it's zesty scent is the perfect wake-me-up. Sweet lime, lemons, vanilla musk and almond oil are what give it it's citrusy, slightly edible, scent. Scent aside it also performs well when it comes to the grit of it, see what I did there? Sea salt and smashed brown sugar work to scrub away any dry skin while glycerin and macadamia oil leave skin feeling smooth and hydrated.

The Breakfast Scrub: This does actually smell like something you could munch on for breakfast. It's maple fragrance is sweet and delicious but surprisingly I've been reaching for this as more of an evening option. There's something about the scent that I find slightly 'homely' and makes me want to curl up under the blankets, no complaints here. When it comes to scrub factor I'd say it's not quite as exfoliating as it's citrus counter-part however it's nice when you only need something light and it leaves my skin feeling lovely. Oats, sugar and cupuacu help slog away any dry skin whilst honey, shea butter and banana help nourish what's left behind.

Heads up: For those Aussie girls struggling to get their S&G fix, hit up Kit Cosmetics.

  4. I had an allergic reaction to the Soap and Glory body butter and I've been so scared to try anything since then. I may have to get the breakfast scrub though, shea butter is my favourite!

  7. I adore the original breakfast scrub, but it seems they've changed the texture so it's similar to the sugar crush scrub which I love but the original breakfast scrub was a little more gritty hmm :( still can't beat S&G scrubs though :) x
