November Favourites

Finally it's December! The month of stressful exams and assignments is over and it's time to get into the festive spirit. It's this time of year that I begin digging around my stash for those Christmas reds and glitter-full shades, thinking of my Christmas day makeup and mani is getting me excited already. But first let's look at what I've been loving during the month of November.

The Body Shop Honey Bronzing Powder Shade 02 Fair Matte Pale skinned gals looking for a natural, matte bronzer, gather round stat. My first venture into The Body Shop's range of makeup and I managed to pick a winner. Perfect for dusting all over to bronze up my complexion and coming from a girl who usually uses the tiniest amount of bronzer and still manages to look tangoed, that's got to mean something right? I've been keeping this in my handbag for on-the-go bronzing and it even helps keep that midday shine away, definitely a win.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Want You To Want Me One I raved about a little while back seems to have made a come back. You can check out all the deets here but let me just say, this little palette has helped me step out of my matte comfort zone and into the world of shimmer. I've been slowly building up to a full on glitter fest (just in time for December) and this palette has been the stand out. The three shimmers in the middle row (from left to right; Brass in Pockets, Power Ballad and Front Row Centre) are absolute dreams for the one-shade wash-of-colour look. Front Row Centre is a shimmery peach champagne, Power Ballad a shimmery silver taupe and Brass in Pockets a bronzey champagne. I'm also loving that there's two matte shades for days when I want some natural, effortless definition and even some more bold shimmers for when I'm feeling brave.

Lust Have It Precision Pencil Brush Not only have I been loving a bit of shimmer on the lids, I've also been bringing some of that goodness down to my lower lash line. I talk a fair bit about my love for lower lash eye shadow smudging around these parts and now I've found the perfect brush for the job. A little gem from a recent Lust Have It box, it's the perfect size, shape and density to really pack some shadow between those lower lashes. Paired with Brass in Pockets from above and boy does that make my eyes pop, if I do say so myself.

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Mist It's officially summer down here in the Southern hemisphere and the sun has wasted no time at all heating up. The temps are starting to climb and I'm starting to crave a midday refresher. Those cravings have been seen to by this absolute beaut from the Body Shop. In a scent I recently raved about here, this stuff is perfect for a midday spritz. Cooling, refreshing and oh so yummy scented, I think this will be in my handbag all summer long.

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask Now that the weather is heating up my skin's been craving a bit of extra nourishment and I've been on the look out for something to give my skin that extra nourishment whilst also helping with those pesky pimples. This mask from Antipodes has managed to fit the bill perfectly. Without saying too much, this mask applies like a thick, nourishing cream, dries like a light clay mask and then once removed, leaves my skin feeling nourished and redness is reduced. Yes, it is pretty amazing and yes, there is a full post in the works.

  1. Mists and masks are what I am into at the moment! :D

My skin is very sensitive to the cold, so it needs a lot of nourishment to look healthy. I'll definitely be trying out those two products at some point.
Thanks for the lovely review! ^_^

Love the Anastasia pallet, I am growing my eyebrows out a little and I love filling them in, I have a mini kit from Anastasia, but should get around to buying a larger one!

  5. I absolutely adore the Antipodes Manuka honey mask, it's so good to use this time of year! I love the satsuma body butter so the spray looks super tempting I may have to make a cheeky body shop order...
