Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush

When ordering my recent US beauty lot, I couldn't pass up trying a blush, or two, from Tarte. Their Amazonian Clay blushers are described as 'long wearing and supremely soft' and have caused quite a stir in the beauty world. Perhaps because they're so darn hard to get a hold of outside the US, you always want what you can't have, or maybe they are just simply amazing. Either way, I couldn't resist.

I picked up the shades Natural Beauty and Achiote (which actually came in this little gift set). Natural Beauty is redder than the blushers I'd normally reach for whilst Achiote is pretty typical to my collection, a matte pinky coral. Both shades are really pigmented so it's important to go in with a light hand or you could very easily go over the top.

Surprisingly, I really love the way Natural Beauty looks on my skin tone. As I said, it's quite a red blush but it works really well with my pale skin. It gives the wintery cold cheeks look without the wintery cold cheeks, if that makes any sense?

Achiote featured in lasts month's favourites post so you already know it's done well in my books. I think this will be lovely for the summer months, not only because of the colour but also the formula. Being a powder I find these stick around in the heat much better than some other formulations. Important because really, who wants to be reapplying makeup in the middle of a boiling summers day?

If you can get your mitts on these blushers, I'd definitely recommend trying out a shade or two. They have 16 gorgeous shades to choose from, I wish you luck

I've heard wonderful thing about the Tarte blushes, and will have to try and get my paws on one soon, although I'm not sure I can justify getting another blusher.. Ooops - silly little detail :o). Xx

  2. Both lovely shades. So jealous you have these.
A few of my male cousins are moving the the US soon so I'll have to tell them to pick me a few up (can't imagine any of them will willingly enter Sephora).

  6. I just received a Tarte blush from a friend who visited the US. I got Dollface and it's wicked.. although I was surprised at how SUPER pink it is (considering it's the lightest shade they do). Really lovely blusher.
