Lust Have It Box

I was recently contacted by the lovely Julie over at Lust Have It about trying out their monthly beauty box. I'm sure you've all heard about beauty boxes but for those of you living under a rock, they're basically a subscription service you pay for and are then sent out a monthly box full of beauty samples, and even sometimes full size products. They're a great way to trial new products without splashing out for the full size and risk being disappointed. I received my box this morning so thought I'd quickly run through the products inside and if you'd like to know how I get on with them feel free to leave a comment below or you can tweet me here, I love chatting to you guys! Also I'd just like to mention that the box all these bits came in was such good quality and a really nice pattern, I'll definitely be using it to store something in the future!

Wotnot Natural Organic Facial Wipes: I don't like to use face wipes on a regular basis and tend to stick to Caroline Hiron's 3 F's rule (that is that they are only appropriate for 'fanny's, flights and festivals'). However face wipes are always handy to have about and this little 5 pack is the perfect size for in your handbag or travelling. Wotnot is an organic brand, that does not test on animals and are 100% Australian owned. These wipes are said to be suitable for sensitive skin and include lots of great ingredients such as aloe vera, rosehip and almond oil.

Mary Kay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover: I tend to use my Emma Hardie balm to remove my eye makeup however if I've gone for a more dramatic look, the EH sometimes doesn't quite cut it. It will be interesting to see how this remover works and once again is a great size for taking on holiday.

L'Oreal Base Magique Primer and Infallible Liquid Foundation: I've heard quite a few rav reviews about this primer so was excited to see this sample. If it's as good as the claims I'll definitely be repurchasing as I'm on the look out for a good quality high street primer. As for the foundation, I don't really like foundation samples as the chance of getting the right shade for your skin is pretty slim. I'd suggest trying out foundations like this on an 'at home' day so that even if the match isn't great, you can still see how it feels on your skin and make sure that it's not going to break you out.

Bioderma Sébium Foaming Gel and Sebium AKN: This is such a cult brand which is generally quite hard to get hold of here in Australia so it's great to see these samples in an Australian box. I'm pretty into my skin care and find it hard to really see if a product is working for me after just one use but the Sébium AKN looks like it would last for a couple of uses. As for the cleanser, I'd probably take this with me if I was travelling as it's compact and easy to dispose of.

Lust Have It Precision Pencil Brush: This is a surprisingly good quality brush which I think I'll get a lot of use from. It's super soft and the perfect shape for applying shadow along both the top and bottom lash line, which I luuurve for a bit of definition.

Baji Super-Nutri Rescue Eye Serum: This product is in the most amazing packaging. It's only plastic but it has the coolest twist up pump, which I may or may not have spent a good 10 minutes playing with this morning. Obviously it's not about the packaging as much as what's inside but it's still nice! Baji is an Australian organic skin care brand that I've never heard of before but I'm pretty keen to see how this eye serum goes then maybe check out some of their other products. This serum's RRP is $39 which is more than the box itself so definitely worth the money!

I really enjoyed receiving this box, it's quite exciting not knowing what's inside and it exposes you to a whole host of different brands. Having said that though, $19.95 a month for samples may seem like quite a large chunk of your spending allowance for some of us, and it is a bit of risk of not knowing what you're going to get. This particular box would have paid for itself with the serum alone and I know that next months box will too with every subscriber receiving a full size product from Inika. If you still can't justify a $19.95 spend, then you're in luck because I have a special discount code for my readers! Simply enter the codeword BLUSH to receive $5 off your first box! Signing up to a subscription service like this would be great for those of you lucky enough to be heading away on holiday soon as you can start stocking up on samples to take with you!
