Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque

Anyone else ever get that dreaded feeling of a hefty pimple brewing under the skin? Things usually go a little red and boy does it hurt to touch. Warning bells should now be ringing, this is no normal pimple! I find the area will normally hurt for about a day or two and then you wake up the next morning, and bam, there he is, what a whopper. For me these are the worst. They usually end up going white (then you've got the whole 'to-pop-or-not-to-pop?' debate) and are the ones that hang around for absolutely ages. Up until recently, whenever I got this feeling all I could do was wait until that horrible morning when the pimple came up to see the world. But now, I've found an answer.

As soon as a feel a pimple like this brewing, I reach straight for my Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque, slap it on the tender area and then relax. The situation is under control. This mask really is amazing. It stops those pesky pimples in their tracks!

It's a clay based mask aimed at calming breakouts and clearing up excess oil. I must admit it was one of those products that after the first use, it wasn't love. I used it all over my face and didn't notice a change in my current breakouts. However when I tried it on one of the horrible aforementioned pimples, it worked like a miracle! I woke up the next morning and the affected area of skin felt completely normal, no pimple in site.

Now I know that whenever I get that pimple-brewing feeling I can reach straight for this mask to clear things up. It works best if you get in early and I've also found that for really bad pimples, one use doesn't quite cut it so I use the mask 2 nights in a row. I only apply to the affected area, leave for 10 minutes to dry and then remove with warm water and a flannel. I've also tried leaving it on over night as a spot treatment but didn't notice that it worked any better, however caused no harm, so if you're lazy, go for it.

What is your go to spot treatment? I'd love to hear any recommendations!
