The Weekend Plans #2: Birthday

The weekend just gone has been one of the best I've had in a long, long time,  so of course I have to share some pictures with you! On Wednesday last weekend I turned 18 so that was really exciting. Being the middle of the week and busy with uni, I didn't go out anywhere Wednesday night, but my boyfriend did treat me with tickets to see the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang musical- it was amazing! I'm pretty sure I sat there with eyes wide open and a huge smile of my face through out the entire show. The boy even managed to keep it a complete surprise until we arrived at the theatre so that just added to the excitement!

My birthday celebrations continued on through to the weekend (of course!). Saturday night I went out for dinner to a pub near my house with my parents and boyfriend. We had a really lovely time and the food was lovely. Sunday afternoon I had some close family friends around for a drink before the boy and I headed out. We decided to stay at a hotel to celebrate the occasion and chose Crown Metropol. Previously known as Burswood Entertainment Complex, it's a hotel with a casino and heaps of bars and restaurants. Perfect for my first night out!

The room we stayed in was amazing, as was the hotel's pool area. I've included some pictures of the outdoor pool which was lovely, and there was also an indoor heated pool and jacuzzi. When we first arrived we headed straight to the pool and spent the afternoon there. We then headed back to the room to get ready to go and get some dinner. We went for some drinks at one of the bars first then had some dinner at one of the restaurants inside the Casino. I had gnocci and it was so so good! We then had some more drinks and headed back to the room.

Monday morning we woke up early and headed downstairs for buffet breakfast which was amazing, they had so much food! A massive range of pastries, waffles, pancakes, fruits, yoghurts, cereals, Asian dishes and a full English breakfast (anyone else feeling hungry?). Needless to say, I ate way too much.

We spent the rest of the morning relaxing by the pool before checking out. I had the most amazing weekend and am so glad that we decided to stay at the hotel. It was a lovely treat to celebrate a big birthday and I hope you all enjoyed reading about it and seeing the photos.

  1. Happy belated birthday, looks like you had an amazing time! xx

  2. sounds like an amazing time! That would be such a fun play to see at the theater as the movie is so fun! And I love the blue & white dress you're wearing in some of the pictures!
