US Haulin'

Unfortunately I'm still holding out for that beauty filled trip to America but recently I did manage to get my hands on some cult US makeup. All thanks to a site called Tarazz which helped make my dreams of overseas beauty come true! Similar to a mail forwarding site, but you're able to shop the products directly from their site. They recently had a special $10 flat rate shipping for any Sephora order. How could I resist? Everything came well protected in heaps of bubble wrap (not sure if that was Sephora or Tarazz) and I also received 4 samples. One was a mini St Tropez face tanner and an adorable mini tanning mitt, so cute!. Now a quick warning before you Aussie beauty gals get too excited. The prices are slightly higher than if you ordered straight from Sephora and they don't offer the full Sephora range, but if they've got what you want I think it's so much easier than going through a mail forwarding company.

I went a bit crazy over Tarte as it's a brand we can't get here in Australia. The Amazonian Clay blushers are so raved about in the beauty world so of course they went straight into my shopping bag. I got the shade Natural Beauty (on the left) as well as a little gift set in the shade Achiote. The set came with a clay blush, natural lip lustre (lip crayon) and divine shine lip gloss. That's $71 worth of products for just $29! I'm so excited to try out these cult blushers!

I also took the opportunity to pick up one of Josie Maran's Coconut Watercolour Cheek Gelee's. I chose the shade Poppy Paradise, a bright pinky red. Once again these aren't available in Australia. This brand takes a natural approach to beauty which I really like and I'll be writing a post all about them soon.

Finally I picked up one of Benefit's cute little boxes. Benefit is available in Australia but of course it's so much cheaper from America. This set is The Bronze of Champions and features cute little minis perfect for creating a bronzey look. It comes with a mini Watt's Up highlighter, Creaseless Cream Shadow in Bikini-Tini, Longwear Powder Shadow in Thanks A Latte, Hoola Bronzing Powder, Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in Hoola, They’re Real! Mascara and a powder brush. I think it's a great way to try out some different products before splashing out on the full sizes.

I'll be posting reviews on all these products soon but in the mean time, do you own any of these? What are your thoughts? Also, I'm thinking of placing a big Sephora haul just because it's so much cheaper than here in Australia, so I'd love to know any mail forwarding companies you'd recommend?

  11. Ooh, I'm excited for the Josie maran review. I've been eying that products for some time. I live in America and it's so weird to see how different Australia is. Like how some of our drugstore stuff is really expensive for you.
