New in from Bourjois

Bourjois have been absolutely rocking it in the high street recently. With the reformulation of their highly successful Healthy Mix Foundation, the release of their 1 Seconde Nail Enamels and Nail Polish Remover and the all new Bronzing primer being likened by many a beauty blogger to Chanel's famous Soleil Tan de Chanel. They sure know how to bring it. I've had the pleasure of trying out two of their new release products; a cream blush and Shine Edition Lipstick, neither of which are currently available in Australia. Tip to any Aussie gals- check out ASOS, and to any UK girls out their- yes, we really are that far behind.

Bourjois Cream Blush in 04 Sweet Cherry
This is a matte brown/pink shade blush that I think would look great with a tan, but is still working well with my pale winter skin. It's a pretty universal colour that I think would be difficult to go wrong with because it's just so natural. Shade out of the way and onto formula. These blushes are a cream to powder formula meaning that they apply like a cream but set with a powder-like finish. These formulas are notoriously difficult to work with and blend, but not this time. I find this blush really easy to blend, even compared to other cream blushes I own and it gives a really nice natural flush. Due to the powder like finish they stick around much longer than a traditional cream blush formula so would be perfect for summer or oily skinned gals (you're not alone).

Bourjois Shine Edition Lipstick in 20 1 2 3 Soleil
The lipsticks in this new line from Bourjois are balmy and very high shine. This particular shade is well pigmented but the formula make it easy to apply and wear. 1 2 3 Soleil is a lovely vibrant pink coral that would, once again, look great with a tan. It's not the longest lasting formula but can be applied without a mirror so is good for touch-ups on the go. I really love the packaging of these lipsticks. The shade is shown on both top and bottom so is easily recognisable in the 'lips' draw of my makeup storage. In this previous post I spoke about my attempts to rock a bold lip beyond the confides of my house, and with this high shine, easy to wear formula, I am definitely on my way!

Have you tried any new releases from Bourjois? What's your favourite?

  7. Great post!
I love my cream blushers in shade 01 & 02 and that lipstick looks amazing. I don't remember seeing that lipstick here in the UK maybe because everyone's been going so crazy for the jumbo lip crayons.

  9. Bourjois was always one of those brands I neglected in my local drugstore (I live in the UK, btw), but woah, I am a convert! The cream blushes are so lovely and the healthy mix serum foundation is my most-used one nowadays. I've recently bought the 1 second nail polish remover and I have no idea how I'd never tried it before. It's magic! And they sell it on ASOS too. A bit sad that ASOS doesn't carry full Bourjois stock, though :(

  14. I absolutely love Bourjois! My favorite drugstore brand back in Amsterdam. Not so favo in Chicago since it's way overpriced and quite difficult to find.
