My Favourite Places to Shop Online: Beauty Edition

It's no secret that we pay a heap more for beauty products here in Australia than most other places in the world, I'm looking at you America and the UK. It's a cringe worthy comparison that makes me green with envy so when I get the chance to pick up products at a UK or US RRP, of course I snap it up! As much as I wish I could justify (and afford), regular trips across the globe just to pop into Boots or Sephora, maybe one day eh?, online shopping is my best option. During my many an hour perusing the internet for the latest and greatest in beauty, I've uncovered a few favourite online shops that I think it's about time I share with you. Maybe you live somewhere with sky high prices too, or just can't be bothered making that trip to the shops today, no judging, we've all been there, here's my top sites to allow for all your much needed beauty purchases without leaving the comfort of your own home. Warning: Excess shopping may result.

Cult Beauty: This site is truly a beauty lovers dream. Started by two beauty obsessors back in 2008, it's a compilation of the crème de la crème in the beauty world. Tried and tested to ensure that you will not be disappointed. All areas of beauty are covered from make up to hair, wellbeing, fragrance and more! I always feel confident making a purchase from Cult Beauty given that every product has been individually chosen by a world-class expert panel. Some stocked brands include Aesop, Stila, Jouer, Ren and many, many more! Shipping is only free with purchases over £50, but they often have great specials so that's really not hard! I've found their email newsletters to be extremely dangerous for my bank balance.

Feel Unique: I love Feel Unique for the simple fact that they offer free international shipping and have an insane variety of brands available. Some of the premium brands can't be shipped outside the EU (that's not unusual), but the ones that can are always a reasonable price. I like to buy products from brands such as Burt's Bees and Rimmel from here as they are a heap cheaper than in Australia.

Escentual: This is the site to bookmark if you're a fragrance junky, they have a crazy big range of perfumes. They also have a nice range of skincare (my weakness). Those brands that are a bit more difficult to get a hold of, think La Roche Posay, are readily available here. They stock a whole heap of French skin care brands at really reasonable prices and are usually on some kind of special (I went a bit mad when they had 1/3 off all French skincare).

BeautyBay: Another one with a heap of brands at good prices and with free international shipping. They also do an optional upgrade to 'Premium Shipping' for an extra 2.50AUD, which means your purchase will be despatched quicker (within 12 hours of the order being received) and will come with at least one deluxe sample. I usually shop at the BeautyBay for slightly more expensive brands such as Urban Decay. They also stock Pai skincare which is a brand I've been absolutely loving lately (check out a review of their face oil here).

Look Fantastic: Look Fantastic do some pretty similar brands to Feel Unique and BeautyBay, and also offer free international shipping. I usually search all three sites when I'm after a particular product and just go for the cheapest option. Look Fantastic usually has really good gift with purchase type deals which are definitely worth signing up to their email newsletter to hear about!

  1. I really love (here goes me spilling all my secrets) Nordstrom. I'm from the UK so I'm not sure about how it works Aussie-wise but they pretty much always have free shipping and stock some really good stuff xxx
