La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo

As I'm sure some of you will know by now, I'm all about skincare. I'm pretty happy with my current routine and had been using La Roche Posay's Effaclar Duo morning and night for well over a month when I decided to cut back on any products that weren't really doing much and this treatment was the first to go. Big mistake. About three days later I broke out like crazy. I couldn't work out why but then it hit me, this was the one thing that had changed. I quickly whipped it back into my skincare routine and what do you know, break outs were calmed and my skin is looking the best it has in a while.

Now don't get me wrong, this isn't some miracle treatment that will rid you of any pimples or blocked pores overnight. But, with regular use (I apply morning and night), it has really helped my skin. Of course my initial break out may not have been caused specifically from cutting this out of my routine, but I'm pretty sure this was vital in quickly overcoming those pesky pimples.

I haven't experienced dryness like I've heard many people have. I don't use a moisturiser after this in the morning, but do at night and that seems to work just fine for my skin. I've also read that this shouldn't be used as frequently as I do (part of the reason why I cut down my usage), but my skin is so much better with regular use.

Like all skincare, everyone is different and it's all about finding what works for your skin, but for me, this stuff is amazing! It's very reasonably priced (£10.80 from Escentual) and will soon be readily available down here in Australia with Priceline now stocking La Roche Posay. I've definitely be repurchasing when I run out.

Have you tried Effaclar Duo? How did it work for you?

    1. It's probably safer to just keep using it! Or may try to slowly cut down your use and see how your skin goes :) x
