Daily Face #4

Today's face is another quick, natural look (what a surprise!), featuring some products I've been loving lately.

I started by buffing in Rimmel's Match Perfection Foundation (in 103 True Ivory) which gives a nice dewy finish with medium coverage. I like to use powder over this foundation just because of the dewy finish and my oily skin. For this I used Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder in the shade 103 Peach Glow. I lightly dust it over my forehead and down my t-zone using a fluffy powder brush. It doesn't add any extra coverage but just helps mattify my skin and helps the foundation stick around that bit longer.

I've been loving using my Maybelline Colour Tattoos as a base for eyeshadow recently. For today's look I went for the shade 45 Bold Gold. I used my finger to blend this all over my lid. For a full review of these see here but in short, I find they provide a really nice base for powder shadow. Today I decided to use a very shimmery base (Bold Gold) with matte shadows from the Naked Basics palette. I find this calms down the shimmer from the Colour Tattoo and you're left with a really nice hint of shimmer. I used Naked 2 all over the lid, Faint blended into the crease and along the lower lash line for some definition and Venus for a subtle inner corner highlight. I finished off my eyes with a coat of DJV Beautenizer Fiberwig LX mascara. It's a slightly clumpy, volumising mascara which I really love. Not too much for the day time.

For cheeks I simply stippled on some of my Stila Convertible Colour in Peony to add a nice natural flush. I also like to use this to add a hint of colour to my lips, a 'your lips but better' kind of colour.

And that's my finished look! Super easy and can be completed in minimal time for those mornings when getting out of bed in time just isn't an option!

What products have you been loving lately?

  1. I'm really curious about the Urban Decay palettes, all that hype around them makes me want to buy it! xx

  2. I love the basics palette, it just has everything for this time of year when you just want a simple look! X

  3. I love using the gold color tattoo on days that I don't want a full look with just a quick swipe of mascara.
