Stila Convertible Colour in Peony

Cream blushers seem to be pretty popular at the moment, one of the most raved about being these Convertible Colours by Stila. I haven't had much experience with cream blushers, but was assured by many a blog post that these were very easy to work with, and I was definitely not misled!

I have the shade Peony which when applied lightly, leaves a really nice natural flush to the cheeks, but can also be built up for more intense colour. I've been using my Real Techniques Stippling Brush to apply and find blending a breeze, however fingers also do the trick just fine.

The one draw back I find with this product is the wear time, by about half way through the day I definitely need to reapply. However I think this is generally the way with cream face products, and my oily skin doesn't help! However the compact packaging and handy little mirror make these great to throw into your bag for on the go. They can also be used as a lip stain, and I was surprised that  they actually do work quite nicely as both. I find that products advertised as multi-tasking usually work well for one task, but quite poorly for others.

However, for days I really want my blush to last all day without touch ups, I have been using a light dusting of powder blush over the top just to help keep oiliness at bay for as long as possible. Make sure you don't go to heavy handed if you are going to try this, or it completely ruins the effect of a cream blush!

I really recommend these Convertible Colours to anyone, the wide colour range means most people will find a colour they like and works with their skin tone. These would be great for achieving that very sought after dewy, summer time glow so if you're somewhere that's heading in to summer, I'd definitely check these out! I picked mine up from Cult Beauty here, but for a wider variety of colours and free international shipping I'd recommend the Beauty Bay. I'm definitely developing a love for cream products, so if you have any favourites, please let me know in the comments below!

  2. I was just looking at this yesterday in Ulta. All the colors in the range are so nice but unfortunately cream blushes don't last at all on my skin! :(
