Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil

For an oily skin gal like myself, oil can be a pretty scary word. Six months ago I would have run a mile if anyone told me to slather more of the stuff on my face but, with a bit of research and experimentation, I've realised oil is not the enemy! It's actually my very good friend..

Pai's BioRegenerate Rosehip Oil is completely organic, like everything from the brand, and is suitable for sensitive skin. The key ingredient is a rosehip seed and fruit oil blend, which is known for helping improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks, sun damage and fine lines as well as improving skin's elasticity and firmness. It can help reduce premature ageing or can be used to reverse skin damage. I was especially drawn to the promise that this would help reduce scarring as I really want to minimize the chance that some of my pesky pimples will leave scars. Pai's oil also contains retinol (more commonly known as vitamin A) and is rich in omega 3, 6 and antioxidants, like vitamin C, which together work to regenerate damaged skin.

So in theory, it sounds like a goodin' to have in your skin care stores non? Well in practise, it does not disappoint. I've been using this oil for about 10 weeks now, religiously every night for the past 4 and I have to say, I'm a big fan. It's not too heavy for my oily skin, but I can definitely see the difference with regular use. My skin feels plump and moisturised and any breakouts have cleared up in much less time than usual.

I've been using two little drops from the pipette each night, massaged over my entire face as the last step in my evening skin care routine. I really love the woody scent, however my boyfriend hates it so it may not be for everyone, but isn't too overpowering and doesn't linger so don't let it put you off. I also love the bright orange colour! But be careful to allow a few minutes for it to soak into your skin before jumping into bed or you may just end up with orange stains on your pillow (don't worry, it won't make your face orange though!).

I picked my bottle up from Beauty Bay where it is currently on sale and the site offers free international shipping. I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you've got oily skin but want to experiment with a face oil.

Let me know if you've tried this oil and how you got on, or what your favourite face oil is in the comments section below or tweet me (@annablush_), I'd love to chat!

    1. Definitely give it a go! I've found my skin to actually be less oily since using an oil, which sounds silly I know, but if you're providing oil, the skin doesn't need to produce as much. That's why products with alcohol and other drying ingredients are bad as they strip the skin which then leads to more oil production to compensate!
