Online Shopping: Real Techniques and Emma Hardie

I finally gave in to the hype and purchased some of the Real Techniques brushes... Yes I know, just a bit late. Now ignoring the fact that I am about 6 months late with this one, I thought I'd share with you which ones I got and where from. I also picked up some skincare products by Emma Hardie, another much hyped brand in the beauty world. I've found some great online beauty stores recently with prices much much lower than here in Australia. I'm finding it difficult not to buy so much more!

I think the main thing putting me off picking up some Real Techniques brushes earlier was the price here in Australia. The Core Collection retails for $44.99 (that's £30)! I think that's just crazy when they are so cheap in America. That was until I heard other bloggers talking about iHerb, a website that you wouldn't expect to find make up brushes on but boy was I glad when I did! They have the Core Collection for just $17.99 (£11.15)! I couldn't believe that it was less than half price! I thought that I may as well pick up the Stippling Brush as well as I'd heard good things about it. This was only $9.99 (£6.60), once again cheaper than half the price you'd pick it up for in Australia ($22.99)! On the Boots site they have these brushes a bit cheaper than here in Australia (not a surprise!) however iHerb is still cheaper.

I was so surprised to see these brushes for such a good price, I was just scared that shipping would be crazy expensive but it's not- it's actually very reasonable! I opted for the DHL Express shipping which cost $12 and had an expected delivery of 2-4 days. There is a cheaper option available ($6) however it said this would take 1-4 weeks and I thought I'd rather pay more to get them sooner! Even with the more expensive shipping, I managed to get the Core Collection and Stippling Brush for cheaper than if I had have bought just the Core Collection in Australia! The shipping was absolutely great and my brushes arrived in two days. They also provided great tracking so I knew exactly where my brushes where which I always think is good. I would definitely recommend checking out iHerb if you are after Real Techniques brushes. I was also given a discount code when I made my purchase which will save you $10 with any spend over $40, or $5 if you spend less. Just enter JNW519 at the check out to receive your discount. Just for the record, I'm absolutely loving these brushes so far! The buffing brush is amazing for foundation! Let me know if you'd like to hear more about my experience with them in the comments below.

The next thing I ordered online was the Emma Hardie Natural Lift and Sculpt Cleansing Exfoliating System (wow what a mouth full!) from the BeautyBay. This site offers free international shipping which is always a bonus. Whenever I see an item I want to get my hands on I check the BeautyBay, FeelUnique and LookFantastic (as they all offer free international shipping) and then go with whichever one is cheaper. This time the BeautyBay won. I picked up the Emma Hardie set which includes the Moringa Balm (100ml), Rosehip Exfoliating Seeds (10g) and a Dual Action Cleansing Cloth. For only £30 (AUD 45) I thought this was a great deal seeing as the Moringa Balm alone retails for £42 (AUD 64)!

It took 8 days for my set to arrive, which isn't too bad considering it's free shipping. However when it did arrive I was disappointed to see that the Cleansing Balm had leaked all over the place which you will be able to see from the pictures below. I know this isn't really the fault of the BeautyBay however I have still sent them an email to let them know that the item was damaged and will hopefully receive a reply soon.

As all these products are new I have only tried them a few times, however if you would like to see reviews once I have had more time to try them out, let me know in the comments below. I'd also love to hear about your experiences with any of these products and/or sites so leave them below or tweet me (@annablush_).
